Dental disease in felines
“Studies report that between 50 and 90% of cats older than four years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, but fortunately the most common forms of these diseases are largely preventable or treatable with appropriate preventive dental care and monitoring.” - Cornell University
The best way to help prevent most dental disease is by regular dental cleanings. It is recommended to brush your pet’s teeth with the appropriate pet toothpaste once a day to help maximize time between dental cleanings, but manual brushing will not replace a professional dental cleaning.
The three most common dental disease in felines are: Gingivitis, periodontitis and tooth resorption.

These may include: inflammatory and ulcerative diseases or oral tumors. You can read more about them here.
